今回は、先月Murder Channelからコンピレーション・アルバム「EXPERIMENTS IN NIHILISM」を発表したオランダの重鎮ブレイクコア・アーティスト「Bong-Ra」がチャートを執筆してくれました！
Bong-RaことJason Kohnen氏は80年代後半から音楽活動を開始しており、96年からソロプロジェクトとして「Bong-Ra」の活動を始め現在までに数多くの名作を世に送り出しています。
ブレイクコアやハードコア界隈だけに留まらず
「The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble」、「The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation」などのジャズ、ダークアンビエントを主体としたバンドのメインコンポーザー兼ベーシストとしても幅広いリスナーから支持されています。
近年ではダークステップ/ハードコア/ブレイクコアを融合した最強ユニット「The Hard Way」での活動やDOPE D.O.D.への楽曲提供、SOLE(ANTICON)、Igorrrとのコラボレーション等、ジャンルレスな活動で常に話題を集めています。

4. Torque
This together with Blackstar’s ‘Tribute to Haile Selaisse’ are the two best Jungle records ever made.
Simple and minimal but incredibly effective. No current Drum and Bass can really tip with these albums.

5. Varese ‘Ameriques’
This piece of music takes me into worlds unknown…Such an amazing visual piece of music.
6. Holy Terror ‘Distant Calling’
Most undervalued Speed Metal band of the 80s. Could and should have been respected in the same breath as Metallica, Slayer or Megadeth.

7. Blind Willie Johnson ‘Dark Was The Night, Cold Was the Ground’
Pure spirituality… Universal language of music.

8. Billie Holiday ‘Strange Fruit’
The perfect mix of politics and art. Holiday manages to emphasize the tragedy of the Black people through this heart wrenching song.

9. John Lennon ‘Woman’
Great composition, melody… Lennon as a song writer was pretty unique
